Rear Suspension

Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement-Rear

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.





5. Remove the wheel bearing and hub mounting bolts.
6. Remove the wheel bearing and hub assembly and splash shield.





7. Remove any corrosion from the hub mating surface.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the splash shield and wheel bearing and hub assembly.

Notice Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the wheel bearing and hub assembly mounting bolts
- Tighten the wheel bearing and hub mounting bolts to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control.
5. Install the tire and wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
