Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Remove the IP upper trim pad.
2. Remove the two fasteners, one on each side of the IP cluster.
3. Disconnect the left (1) and the right (2) DIC switch electrical connectors.
4. Rotate the IP cluster trim (3) rearward from the top and lift the trim out of the IP retainer.
5. If the IP cluster trim panel is to be replaced, remove the left and the right driver's information center switches from the trim panel. Refer to Driver Information Center Switch Replacement.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the DIC switches to the IP cluster trim panel.
2. Engage the lower edge of the IP cluster trim plate (3) to the IP.
3. Connect the two electrical connectors (1,2) to the DIC switches.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions

4. Install the two fasteners from the trim panel to the IP retainer.

Tighten
Tighten the IP cluster trim panel fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the IP upper trim pad.
