Dash Integration Module (DIM)

Battery positive voltage is provided from IGN SW fuse 20 in the rear fuse block. The module ground is wired to ground G201. Battery positive sense voltage is provided from DIM fuse 39 in the rear fuse block to the DIM. This battery input is referenced to the ground sense input at the DIM which is wired to the battery negative terminal and to ground G307. These sense inputs are physically connected to the battery positive and negative terminals for accurate battery voltage readings. The DIM is wired to the Class 2 serial data circuit. The various DIM input and output circuits are described in the corresponding functional areas as indicated on the DIM electrical schematics.

The Dash Integration Module (DIM) functions include the following:
^ Power moding control over Class 2 serial data circuit
^ Control of exterior lamps
^ Interior lamps and incandescent dimming
^ Steering wheel controls
^ Horn relay control for theft activation
^ Low side temperature for the HVAC compressor
^ Hood ajar switch input for export vehicles only
