Rear Integration Module (RIM)

Battery positive voltage is provided from IGN SW fuse 20 in the rear fuse block to the RIM. Ignition positive voltage is provided from IGN1 fuse 12 in the rear fuse block to the RIM. These voltage inputs are referenced to module ground. The RIM is wired to the Class 2 serial data circuit. The various RIM inputs and outputs are described in the corresponding functional areas as indicated on the RIM electrical schematics. The RIM functions include the following:
^ Fuel level sensor input
^ Heated seat controls
^ HVAC blower control
^ Rear defogger control
^ Park brake relay controls
^ Various controls for the interior lamps
^ Reverse control for the backup lamps and automatic day/night mirror
^ Rear foglights control
^ Fuel door and rear compartment lid release controls
^ Retained accessory power (RAP) control for the sunroof control module
^ Ajar switch and tamper switch inputs from the rear compartment lid
^ Content theft alarm
