Rear Integration Module Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDUREIMPORTANT: Before replacing the RIM module, record the personalization settings in order to restore the settings after the new module is installed.
1. Record the RIM personalization settings. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization.
2. Remove the rear storage compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Trunk/Liftgate.
3. Remove the bay board fasteners (2).
4. Pull the bay board (1) away from the body and place the bay board (1) module side up in the rear compartment.
5. Disconnect the electrical connections from the RIM (Rear Integration Module).
6. Remove the RIM (1) by depressing the locking tabs (2) inward, in order to release the RIM (1) from the bay board.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the RIM (1) to the bay board.
2. Push the RIM (1) into the opening on the bay board, until an audible click is heard, indicating the Rim (1) is secured to the bay board.
3. Connect the electrical connections to the RIM (1).
4. Install the bay board (1) to the vehicle body.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the bay board fasteners (2).
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
6. Install the rear storage compartment trim. Refer to Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear in Trunk/Liftgate.
7. Reprogram the RIM. Refer to BCM Programming/RPO Configuration (DIM) or BCM Programming/RPO Configuration (IPM) or BCM Programming/RPO Configuration (RIM). Programming and Relearning
8. Restore the drivers personalization settings. Refer to Driver Personalization in Personalization.
