IAC Position

The scan tool range is 0-255 counts. This parameter displays the PCM commanded position of the idle air control pintle in counts. A larger number of counts indicates a retracted Intake Air Control (IAC) valve which allows more air the idle air passage. The IAC position should respond quickly to changes in engine load in order to maintain the desired idle RPM.
