Tilt Head Housing - Assemble

- J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor





1. Install the inner race (1).
2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
3. Install the upper bearing spring (3).
4. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4).
Lubricate with synthetic grease.





5. Install the cam orientation plate (2).
6. Install the new bearing retainer (1) using tools J 23653-SIR. The bearing retainer must be firmly seated in the groove on the upper shaft assembly.
7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Right Hand) or Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Power Tilt and Telescope) or Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Manual Tilt).
