Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement.





3. Remove stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolt.





4. Bend open the end of the stabilizer shaft brackets and slide over stabilizer shaft insulators.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabilizer shaft in position.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft brackets with the slit forward.

Important: Ensure the stabilizer shaft is centered before installing the bracket bolts.

3. Bend bracket downward to close around the insulator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolts.
Tighten stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement.
6. Lower the vehicle.
