Rear HVAC Blower Control Knob May Fall Off (Install New Design Knob)

1998-2003 Cadillac Seville
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to eliminate the previous VIN breakpoint information and to add the 2002 and 2003 model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-01-39-001 (Section 01 - HVAC).
Condition
Some customers may comment on the rear HVAC controller blower knob becoming loose or falling off.
Cause
The hole in the knob may be undersized for the shafts of the blower speed control. The knob, in time, may split and become loose or fall off.
Correction
Install a newly released control knob. To install, simply push the new knob on the blower speed control shaft until seated.
