Subject:
No Audio From Entertainment System, No Tech 2 Communication With Amplifier and Radio Displays Time Only (Replace Amplifier)

Models:

2001-2002 Cadillac Seville with Bose� Entertainment System (RPO UX9)

Condition

Some customers may comment that there is no audio from the entertainment system. The time display may not change when radio stations or settings are adjusted, also. The Tech 2 may not be able to communicate with the amplifier.

Correction

Important:
Replace the amplifier only if a communications failure has been verified with the Tech 2. If the Tech 2 can communicate with the amplifier, then further entertainment system diagnosis will be necessary.

Replace the radio speaker amplifier, P/N 25708822. Refer to the replacement procedure in the Entertainment sub-section of the Body and Accessories section of the Service Manual (S12000 Document ID #554710).
