Radio Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - IP Center in Instrument Panel, Gages and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console in Instrument Panel, Gages and Warning Indicators.
3. Remove the heater and A/C control and the radio bracket fasteners.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio and the A/C control assembly.




5. Remove the radio retaining nuts.
6. Remove the radio from the radio bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the radio to the radio bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the radio retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the radio retaining nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in)




3. Connect the electrical connectors to the radio and the A/C control assembly.
4. Install the heater and A/C control and the radio bracket retainers.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console in Instrument Panel, Gages and Warning Indicators.
6. Install the instrument panel center trim plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - IP Center in Instrument Panel, Gages and Warning Indicators.
