Auxiliary Blower Motor Switch

The auxiliary blower motor provides additional airflow for the back seat passengers. The auxiliary blower motor operates independently from the HVAC control module. Passengers can operate the system in manual mode only. The only time the auxiliary blower motor is not available is when the HVAC control module is in FRONT DEFROST.

Power is provided to the auxiliary blower motor from the rear fuse block. The rear integration module provides a ground for the auxiliary blower motor relay on the auxiliary blower motor relay coil supply voltage circuit. When the relay is energized, power is delivered to the auxiliary blower motor on the auxiliary blower motor supply voltage circuit. Depending upon selected blower speeds, voltage is either supplied directly to the blower motor or voltage is varied by a series of in-line resistors on the ground side of the circuit. Ground is provided to the auxiliary blower motor by the auxiliary HVAC control assembly and ground circuit.
