Blower Motor Control Processor Replacement (LHD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (LHD) or Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (RHD) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) compartment.
3. Remove the dash integration module (DIM).
4. Remove the 2 rear DIM bracket fasteners.
5. Reposition the DIM bracket in order to gain access to the blower control module.




6. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector (2).




7. Disconnect the blower control module electrical connector.




8. Remove the blower control module retaining fastener (1).
9. Remove the blower control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the blower control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the blower control module retaining fastener (1).

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.4 N.m (12 lb ft).




3. Connect the blower control module electrical connector.




4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector (2).




5. Reposition the DIM bracket to its original position.
6. Install the 2 rear DIM bracket fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.4 N.m (12 lb ft).

7. Install the DIM.
8. Install the IP compartment.
9. Install the right sound insulator. Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (LHD) or Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement Right (RHD) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
