Auxiliary Mode Switch

The auxiliary mode switch allows back seat passengers to choose the location of the air flow. Passengers can operate the system independently from the HVAC control module. The passengers can select between the following modes:
^ VENT
^ FLOOR
^ BI-LEVEL

Ignition voltage is provided to the auxiliary mode actuator and the auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the ignition 3 voltage circuit. Ground for the actuator and control assembly is through the ground circuit.

When the mode switch is placed in the desired position, the ignition 3 voltage is varied by internal resistors inside the auxiliary HVAC control assembly. Each mode has its' own internal resistor. The varied voltage is sent to the auxiliary mode actuator on the auxiliary mode actuator control circuit.
