Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

WASHER PUMP/RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the electrical connectors from the washer pump and the solvent level sensor switch.
2. Remove the washer hose from the washer pump.
3. Remove the A/C accumulator.
4. Remove the two nuts, the screw, and washer solvent container.




5. Remove the washer pump and the grommet from the washer solvent container.




6. Remove the solvent level sensor switch and the grommet from the washer solvent container.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the grommet and the solvent level sensor switch in the washer solvent container.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the washer pump is pushed all the way into the container seal.




2. Install the grommet and the washer pump in the washer solvent container.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the washer solvent container with two nuts and a screw.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Install the A/C accumulator.
5. Connect the electrical connectors to the solvent level sensor switch and the washer pump.
6. Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.
7. Put the washer solvent in the washer solvent container.
