Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly -Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
2. Remove the steering wheel from the column.
3. Remove the steering column from the vehicle.
4. Inspect the steering column for accident damage.
5. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set.
6. Remove the upper and lower trim cover.





7. Disconnect the coded key controller connector.
8. Slide the coded key controller (2) from the lock module assembly (1).





9. Disconnect the green connector from the bottom of the ignition and key alarm switch assembly.
10. Remove the lead inside the clip on the side of the ignition and key alarm switch assembly.
11. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (4).
12. Remove the 2 tapping screws (3) from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2).
