Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
2. Remove the steering wheel from the column.
3. Remove the steering column from the vehicle.
4. Inspect the steering column for accident damage.

Important: When removing the upper and lower trim cover, you do not have to remove the wire harness straps for the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly procedure.

5. Remove the upper and lower trim cover.
6. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (3).
7. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) and (2) from the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (3).
8. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (3) from the steering column.
