Check Engine Oil Level

The IPC illuminates the CHECK OIL LEVEL - 36 message in the DIC when the PCM detects low engine oil level and the signal circuit is high. The PCM briefly monitors the engine oil level switch at predetermined intervals. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.
