Refrigerant Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

A/C REFRIGERANT LOW TEMPERATURE SENSOR

The DIM monitors low refrigerant temperatures on the A/C refrigerant temperature sensor. A 5-volt reference signal is sent out on the A/C refrigerant low temperature sensor signal circuit. A thermister inside the sensor varies the voltage based on A/C temperatures. The remaining voltage is sent back to the DIM on the sensor return circuit.
