Auxiliary Low Blower Speeds

When the auxiliary blower switch is toggled to the first blower speed position (1), air flow created by the front blower motor is routed out the auxiliary ducts. The auxiliary blower motor is not operating. This provides minimal airflow to the back seat passengers.

When the Low (2) blower speed is selected, the auxiliary HVAC control module (IPM) applies a ground for the auxiliary blower motor. Voltage is routed from the auxiliary blower motor, through the high blower motor control circuit, through 3 series resistors in the auxiliary blower motor resistor assembly, to achieve the desired auxiliary blower speed. The circuit is grounded by the low blower motor control circuit and auxiliary HVAC control assembly.
