Outside Temp

The outside air temperature parameter is a vehicle option. The outside air temperature parameter value is supplied by the Instrument Panel Module (IPM) to the IPC via class 2 serial data messages. The outside air temperature parameter is displayed on the DIC in one of the following formats:
^ XXX°F OUTSIDE TEMP
^ XXX°C OUTSIDE TEMP

The XXX represents the supplied temperature value. The units of the display will correspond to the current IPC setting. The outside air temperature parameter cannot be reset by the driver.
