Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble

Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble -Off Vehicle





1. Snap the electric park lock (1) onto the lock module assembly.
2. Install the tapping screw (3) into the electric park lock (1) mounting hole and the ignition and key alarm switch assembly.
3. Install the steering column lock cylinder set.
4. Install the black connector into the electric park lock (2).





5. If necessary, install the steering column closeout trim cover to the upper trim cover.





6. Install the upper trim cover (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Install 1 pan head tapping screw (2) to the upper trim cover (1).
^ Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).





8. If necessary pop the power tilt and telescope toggle switch assembly (3) into the lower trim cover (2).
9. Install the lower trim cover (2) onto the steering column.
10. Attach the steering column closeout trim cover (1) to the lower trim cover (2).
11. Install the 2 pan head tapping screws (4) to the lower trim cover (2).
^ Tighten the screws to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).





Caution: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Coil Caution in Service Precautions.

12. Connect the connector of the power tilt and telescope toggle switch assembly into the telescope module at the base of the column.
13. Install the necessary wire harness straps.
14. Install the steering column into the vehicle.
15. Install the steering wheel onto the steering column.
16. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
