121. Generator Installation

Generator Installation





1. Install the torque strut mounting bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the torque strut mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the torque strut bracket bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the generator rear mounting bracket.
4. Install the generator rear mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the generator rear mounting bracket bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





5. Place the generator in position.
6. Install the generator bolts finger tight.
7. Tighten the generator bolts in the following sequence:
7.1. Tighten the generator front lower bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.2. Tighten the generator front upper bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.3. Tighten the generator bracket bolts to the engine block to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
