Front Door: Adjustments

Door Adjustment





1. Loosen the 4 bolts on the hinges (1, 3) in order to adjust the door at the door hinge pillar (4) in the following directions:

* Up or down
* In or out

2. Reposition the door as needed.
3. Adjust for a limited up or down movement at the body side hinge attachments.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Position the door fore or aft at the body hinge pillar attachment. Perform the following steps as needed:

1. Loosen the bolts.
2. Reposition the door.
3. Tighten the bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).

4. Inspect the door adjustment after the bolts are tightened to the specified torque.

5. Adjust the door lock striker. Refer to Lock Striker Adjustment - Door (Adjustments) .
