Fuel Filler Pocket Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the fuel filler door.
2. Remove the fuel cap.
3. Remove the nut securing the fuel filler door release actuator to the fuel filler pocket.
4. Remove the 4 fasteners retaining the fuel filler pocket (1).
5. Remove the 3 fasteners (2) retaining the filler pipe (3).
6. Carefully pull the release cable rearward in order to remove the fuel filler pocket.
7. Remove the fuel filler pocket (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Pull the release cable rearward, in order to install the fuel filler pocket past the door latch.
2. Position the fuel filler pocket (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the 4 fasteners in order to retain the fuel filler pocket (1).

Tighten the 4 fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the 3 fasteners (2) in order to retain the filler pipe to the filler pocket.

Tighten the fasteners to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).

5. Install the fuel filler door release actuator retaining nut.

Tighten the nut to 3 N.m (26.5 lb in).

6. Install the fuel cap.
7. Close the fuel filler door.
