Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the push-in retainer (2) from the top of the sound insulator (1).
3. Remove the screws that retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.
4. Remove the fender sound insulator (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the fender sound insulator (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the screws in order to retain the sound insulator (1) to the body.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the push-in retainer (2) to the top of the sound insulator (1).

Important: Ensure that the sunroof drain hoses (4), if equipped, are routed over the sound insulator. Otherwise water may enter the vehicle.


4. Install the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
