Lock Cylinder Replace - Console Compartment Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console compartment. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the 3 fasteners (1) retaining the lock assembly to the console.
3. Remove the lock assembly.




4. Push down on the silver tab (1) on the lock cylinder.




5. Insert the key.
6. Turn the lock cylinder.
Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the lock assembly (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Push down on the lock cylinder silver tab.
2. Insert the key.
3. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the lock assembly (1).
4. Turn the cylinder in order to fasten to the lock assembly.




5. Install the lock assembly to the console.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.


6. Install the fasteners (1).

Tighten the fasteners to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).

7. Install the console compartment. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Check the lock operation.
