Lock Cylinder Replacement - Door

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Express Window Down Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Ensure that the window is in the full-up position.
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Door (Water Deflector Replacement - Door)




4. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Outside (Service and Repair)
5. Remove the nut (4) retaining the lock cylinder to the handle (1).
6. Remove the lock cylinder (5) from the door handle (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock cylinder (5) onto the door handle (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nut (4) in order to retain the lock cylinder (5) to the handle (1).

Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Outside (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Door (Water Deflector Replacement - Door) .
5. Install the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .
