Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Engine Mount Replacement- FrontRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the nuts (2) securing the front engine mount (1) to the engine frame.
3. Remove the engine frame.
4. Remove the upper bolts securing the front engine mount bracket to the cylinder head.
5. Remove the nuts securing the front engine mount bracket to the engine block.
6. Remove the bolt securing the brace to the transaxle.
7. Remove the transaxle support brace.
8. Remove the front engine mount and the bracket.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the front engine mount bracket to the engine.
2. Loosely install the upper bolts securing the front engine mount bracket to the cylinder head.
3. Install the transaxle support brace.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Loosely install the transaxle support brace and the two lower front engine mount bracket nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts and bolts in the following sequence:
4.1. Tighten the lower engine mount bracket nuts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4.2. Tighten the transaxle support brace bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4.3. Tighten the upper engine mount brace bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the engine frame.
6. Install the nuts (2) securing the front engine mount (1) to the engine frame.
^ Tighten the front engine mount nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
