Headlamp Bulb Replacement (9005 High Beam)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Remove the upper filler panel.




2. Reach in behind the headlamp panel housing and turn the inner headlamp bulb counterclockwise 45 degrees in order to remove.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the bulb (2).
4. Remove the inoperative bulb.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Avoid touching the bulb or letting the bulb come in contact with anything damp. Oil from your skin or moisture on the bulb can cause the bulb to explode when the bulb is turned on. If either comes in contact with the bulb, clean the bulb with alcohol or a suitable degreaser and wipe the bulb dry.




1. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the headlamp bulb.
2. Position the headlamp bulb (2) into the headlamp capsule (3).
3. Twist the bulb clockwise 45 degrees in order to secure the bulb to the capsule.




4. Install the upper filler panel.
