Tail Light Bulb: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the convenience net, if equipped.
3. Remove the tail lamp assembly from the rear body panel.
4. Squeeze the bulb socket locking tabs and rotate the tail lamp socket counterclockwise in order to release the socket from the tail lamp assembly.
5. Firmly hold the bulb socket (1) in one hand.
6. Press the bulb inward while turning counter-clockwise in order to remove.
7. Remove the inoperative bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the new bulb to the tail lamp socket (1).
2. Firmly press the bulb inward while rotating clockwise in order to secure the bulb.
3. Install the tail lamp socket to the tail lamp assembly.
4. Rotate the lamp socket clockwise in order to secure the locking tabs.
5. Ensure the bulb socket locking tabs are locked into position.
6. Install the tail lamp assembly to the rear body panel.
7. Install the convenience net, if equipped.
8. Close the rear compartment lid.
