Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Front

^ Tools Required
- J 28733-B Front/Rear Spindle Remover

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Insert the drift punch into the rotor and remove the wheel bearing and hub retaining nut and washer.
4. Remove the brake rotor.





5. Separate the drive axle from the hub using the J28733-B.





6. Remove the wheel bearing and hub retaining bolts.
7. Disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor connector from the hub and bearing assembly.
8. Remove the wheel bearing and hub.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the wheel hub and bearing to the steering knuckle.





2. Connect the ABS wheel speed sensor connector to the wheel bearing and hub.

Notice: Refer to fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the wheel hub and bearing retaining bolts.
Tighten the wheel hub and bearing retaining bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the brake rotor.





5. Install the drive axle washer and retaining nut.
6. Install the drift punch into the rotor and tighten the drive axle nut.
Tighten the drive axle retaining nut to 145 Nm (110 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the tire and wheel.
8. Lower the vehicle.
