Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Crossover Pipe/hose Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the retaining screws from the front portion of the left front wheel well/splash shield.
3. Lower the splash shield far enough to gain access to the secondary air injection (AIR) pump.
4. Remove the retaining clamp from the pump crossover hose.
5. Remove the ties retaining the AIR crossover pipe to the engine cradle.
6. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp connecting the AIR crossover pipe/hose to the bank 1 intermediate pipe/hose.
7. Remove the AIR crossover pipe/hose.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the crossover pipe/hose to the AIR pump outlet hose and the bank 1 intermediate pipe/hose.
2. Install the crossover pipe/hose to intermediate pipe/hose pinch clamp.
3. Install the clamp connecting the crossover to the AIR outlet hose.
4. Install the tie straps to secure the crossover pipe/hose to the engine cradle.
