Clearing Trouble Codes

PROCEDURE

The vehicle manufacturer does not provide a procedure for clearing diagnostic trouble codes without a scan tool. A Tech II or equivalent Scan tool must be used to clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the PCM memory. Follow the instructions supplied by the Scan tool manufacturer in order to clear either current and/or history DTCs.

Interupting vehicle power to clear diagnostic trouble codes is not recommended.
