Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Switch: Service and Repair

REAR COMPARTMENT LID LATCH SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid lock actuator. Refer to Handle Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid Interior Release in Trunk/Liftgate.
3. Remove the fasteners retaining the latch switch to the latch (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Remove the rear compartment lid latch switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the lock actuator (4) to the latch (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the rear compartment latch switch.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the rear compartment lid lock actuator. Refer to Handle Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid Interior Release in Trunk/Liftgate.
5. Close the rear compartment lid.
