Dimmer Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

- Tools Required
- J41352 Steering Column Holding Fixture

1. The turn signal and multifunction switch assembly must be in the UP position.

Important: The column must be in the 12 o'clock position.

To align the steering shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position. Turn the key to the OFF-LOCK position. Pull the key out and turn the steering shaft until you hear a click.





2. Put the steering column in J41352.
3. Pop the wire harness assembly out of the wire harness strap (1).





4. Disconnect the dimmer switch connector from the dimmer switch assembly (2).
5. Remove the hexagon nut (4) from the ignition switch assembly (1).
6. Remove the dimmer switch rod (5).
7. Remove the TORX(R) washer head screw (3).
8. Remove the dimmer switch assembly (2).
