Headlamp Dimmer Switch Replacement - On Vehicle
Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the steering column.
3. Disconnect the dimmer switch electrical connector.





4. Remove the dimmer switch retaining nut (4) and bolt (3).
5. Remove the dimmer switch rod (5) from the dimmer switch.
6. Remove the dimmer switch (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the dimmer switch (2).
2. Install the dimmer switch rod (5) to the dimmer switch (2).

Notice: Refer to fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the dimmer switch retaining nut (4) and bolt (3).
Tighten the dimmer switch retaining nut and bolt to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).
4. Connect the dimmer switch electrical connector.
5. Install the steering column.
6. Enable the SIR system.
