Scan Tool Data Definitions
Analog Steering Wheel Position Input: The scan tool displays 0.34 - 4.74 volts. The amount of voltage from the steering position sensor to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).
Ignition Power: The scan tool displays 0 - 17.0 volts. The level of ignition voltage at the EBCM.
LF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the left front wheel.
LR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the left rear wheel.
Magna Steer Commanded Current: The scan tool displays -2.00 - 3.00 amps. The amount of current that the EBCM is commanding to the Variable Effort Steering (VES) actuator.
Magna Steer Failed: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes Indicates a malfunction has been detected within the VES system. No indicates the VES system is operating to specification.
Magna Steer Feedback Current: The scan tool displays 0 -3.00 amps. The absolute, or positive amount of feedback current draw from the VES actuator to the EBCM.
RF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the right front wheel.
RR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the right rear wheel.
Switched System Battery Power: The scan tool displays 0 - 17 volts. The level of the internal EBCM voltage available to the VES actuator when the ABS relay is energized.
