Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

- J 24319-B Tie Rod Remover

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.





3. Remove the outer tie rods retaining nuts.
4. Using J24319-B separate the outer tie rod ends from the steering knuckles.





5. Remove the stabilizer shaft links to stabilizer shaft retaining nuts.
6. Separate the stabilizer shaft link to stabilizer shaft.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts. brackets and insulators.
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft links retaining nuts.

Notice: Refer to fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators, brackets and retaining bolts.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket retaining bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft link retaining nuts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the outer tie rods to the steering knuckles.
6. Install the outer tie rods retaining nuts.
Tighten the outer tie rods retaining nuts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the tires and wheels.
8. Lower the vehicle.
