Rear Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door module.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the garnish molding.
5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the window channel.
7. Remove the window.
8. Remove the window regulator.
9. Remove the latch.
10. Remove the outside door handle.
11. Remove the rear door stationary window/division channel
12. Remove the reveal molding.
13. Remove the weatherstrip.
14. Remove the front auxiliary sealing strip.
15. Remove the bottom auxiliary sealing strip.




16. Remove the center pillar garnish molding in order to access the door wire harness connectors, if needed.
17. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness, if needed.
18. Depress the tabs on the door wire harness connector in order to release the connector from the center pillar.
19. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers from the inner door panel.
20. Pull the rubber conduit and the wiring harness out through the opening at the front of the door.




21. Remove the door check link.
22. Support the door.
23. Remove the hinge to door nuts.
24. Remove the door, with an assistant.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the hinge studplates into the door.
2. Align the door to the hinges, with an assistant.
3. Support the door.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the door to hinge nuts

Tighten
Tighten the door to hinge nuts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

5. Install the door check link.
6. Install all the retainers to the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
7. Route the door wire harness and conduit into the door.
8. Install the door wiring harness retainers to the inner door panel.




9. Connect the door wire harness to the body wire harness, if disconnected.
10. Install the center pillar garnish molding, if removed.
11. Install the bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
12. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip.
13. Install the weatherstrip.
14. Install the reveal molding.
15. Install the window run channel/stationary window.
16. Install the outside door handle.
17. Install the door latch.
18. Install the window regulator.
19. Install the window.
20. Install the window channel.
21. Install the window inner belt sealing strip.
22. Install the garnish molding.
23. Install the water deflector.
24. Install the door module.
25. Install the door trim panel.
26. Verify proper door alignment.
