Support Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tires and wheels.
3. Remove the exhaust system.
4. Remove the rear coil springs.
5. Remove the rear disc brake rotors.





6. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector from each wheel.
7. Remove the park brake cables.





8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the support.
9. Remove the road sensing suspension or automatic level control electrical connectors and vent hose.





10. Disconnect the road sensing suspension or automatic level control links (1) from the left and right control arms (2).
11. Remove the automatic level control vent tube from the automatic level control compressor.
12. Install a transmission jack to the support.





13. Remove the support bracket retaining bolts from the body of the vehicle.
14. Remove the front support mounting bolts and support brackets.





15. Remove the rear support mounting bolts.
16. With the aid of an assistant, lower the transmission jack in order to remove the support assembly from the vehicle.
17. Transfer the necessary components.

Installation Procedure
1. With the aid of an assistant, raise the transmission jack and install the support to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the rear support mounting bolts to the body.
3. Install the front support brackets and mounting bolts.
Tighten the support mounting bolts to 191 Nm (141 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the front bracket retaining bolts.
Tighten the front bracket retaining bolts to 86 Nm (63 ft. lbs.).





5. Connect the automatic level control air tube to the automatic level control compressor.
6. Connect the road sensing suspension or automatic level control electrical connectors and vent tube.
7. Connect the electrical connectors to the support assembly.





8. Connect the road sensing suspension or automatic level control link(s) (1) to both of the lower control arms (2).
9. Install the park brake cables to the vehicle.
10. Install the disc brake rotors to the vehicle.
11. Install the rear coil springs.
12. Install the exhaust system.
13. Install the tires and wheels.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Measure wheel alignment.
