Headlamp Replacement (SLS, W/O TT6, TT7 or TT8)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the upper filler panel.
3. Remove the two fasteners retaining the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.




4. Pull the headlamp straight forward in order to disengage the locator pin at the outboard edge of the headlamp.




5. Disconnect the headlamp electrical connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
6. Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the headlamp to the vehicle.
2. Connect the headlamp electrical connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.




3. Position the outboard portion of the headlamp to the locator pin, in order to align the locator pin with the headlamp mounting bracket.




4. Press the headlamp rearward in order to engage the locator pin with the headlamp mounting bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. install the two fasteners in order to secure the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp mounting fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the upper filler panel.
7. Close the hood.
