Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble

Steering Column Tilt Head Housing Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Power Tilt and Telescope)

Tools Required
^ J23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor
^ J42137 Lock Plate Compressor Adapter

1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.





2. Remove the bearing retainer (6) using J23653-SIR and J42137. Dispose of the beating retainer.
3. Remove the cam orientation plate (5).
4. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4).
5. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
6. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
7. Remove the inner race (1).
