Tilt Head Housing - Assemble

Steering Column Tilt Head Housing Assemble - Off Vehicle (Power Tilt and Telescope)

Tools Required
^ J23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor





1. Install the inner race (1).
2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
3. Install the upper bearing spring (3).
4. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4). Lubricate with synthetic grease.





5. Install the cam orientation plate (1).
6. Install the new bearing retainer (2) using tools J23653-SIR. The bearing retainer must be firmly seated in the groove on the upper shaft assembly.
7. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
