Information on DTC U1713 and/or U1715 Stored In History, Express-Up Window Feature Operates Properly
Models:
2001-2002 Cadillac Seville
2002 Cadillac DeVille
During a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) search for various unrelated conditions, DTCs U1713 and/or U1715 may be found stored in history. The purpose of these codes is to indicate the power window Express-Up feature is not operating properly. However, U1713 and/or U1715 DTCs can also be set while the power window express system is operating properly by quickly reversing the power window express control button. (Express-Up to Express-Down, Express-Down to Express-Up)
In addition, if a window reverses itself due to an object becoming trapped between it and the window frame, DTCs U1713 and/or U1715 can be set.
Verify the condition.
^ If the power window express system is operating properly, clear the DTCs. It is not necessary to replace the door module.
^ If the power window express system is NOT operating properly, refer to the standard diagnostic procedures in the Service Manual.
