SCAN TOOL DATA DEFINITIONS8-Digit GM Part Number: scan tool displays an 8 digit alphanumeric number. The part number of the module.
AM Distant Stop Level: is the stopping level for the seek/scan feature when set to distant mode.
AM Local Stop Level: is the stopping level for the seek/scan feature when set to local mode.
AM Pass A Stop Level: This is the first pass stopping level for the seek/scan feature. If nothing is found above this level, the radio will then go to the AM Pass B Stop Level.
AM Pass B Stop Level: is the second pass stopping level for the seek/scan feature.
Antenna: scan tool displays if the antenna is Active/Inactive.
Auto Volume Control: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the auto volume control function.
Balance Control: scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of left to right balance selected.
Bass Control: scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of bass selected.
Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-25.5 volts. The voltage measured from the modules battery positive voltage circuit to the modules ground circuit.
Build Sequence Number: scan tool displays the sequence of build of the radio.
Calibration ID: scan tool displays 0-9999. The number designating what calibrations the radio contains.
CD Focus Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of CD focus errors the radio has recorded.
CD Load/Unload Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of CD load/unload errors the radio has recorded.
CD Spindle Servo Error: scan tool displays 00-999. The number of CD spindle servo errors the radio has recorded.
CD Type: scan tool displays Audio or CDROM. The type of CD loaded in the single CD player.
CD/Map Inserted: scan tool displays Yes or No. Whether a CD is loaded in the single CD player or not.
Center IP Mid Range: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Component Serial No. 12: scan tool displays 0-9. The second portion of the serial number.
Component Serial No. 8-11: scan tool displays 0-9999. The first portion of the serial number.
Day: scan tool displays the day the software was created.
Digital Radio Antenna: The scan tool displays millivolts. This parameter indicates the amount of current being used by the digital radio antenna by measuring the voltage drop across an internal resistor. Typical value is 1,200-1,800 mV.
DSP Selected: scan tool displays the equalization setting selected (talk, front/driver seat, ambience, spacious, or off).
Electronic Serial Number: scan tool displays the electronic serial number of the digital radio receiver.
Fade Control: scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of front to rear fade selected.
FM Distant Stop Level: is the stopping level for the seek/scan feature when set to distant mode.

ICDX Access Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of ICDX access errors the radio has recorded.
ICDX Data Read Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of ICDX read errors the radio has recorded.
ICDX Focus Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of ICDX focus errors the radio has recorded.
ICDX Mechanical Error: scan tool displays 0-999. The number of ICDX mechanical errors the radio has recorded.
Ignition Counter: scan tool displays the number of ignition cycles.
Ign. Cycles Since Last: scan tool displays the number of ignition cycles since the last DTC was set.
Julian Date of Build: scan tool displays 0-999. The month and year that the module was built.
LF Full Range: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
LF Tweeter: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
LF Tweeter - Door: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
LR Full Range: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Manufacturing Shift Inf: scan tool displays the shift information for the build of the radio.
Manufacturing Site: scan tool displays the site code where the unit was manufactured.
Microphone High: The scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of noise measured in the vehicle. This is the higher of two measurements. Once Microphone Low has reached the limit, noise is then measured in Microphone High.
Microphone Low: The scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of noise measured in the vehicle. This is the lower of two measurements. Once this has reached the limit, noise is then measured in Microphone High.
Mid Control: scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of mid range selected.
Mono Volume Control: scan tool displays 0-99 counts. The volume selected for the phone output.
Month: scan tool displays the month the software was created.
Mute: scan tool displays On/Off indicating the state of the mute button.
Mute Button: scan tool displays On/Off indicating the state of the mute button.
New VIN Counter: scan tool displays 0-99. The number of times a new VIN number has been set in the radio.
Phone: scan tool displays wether a phone is present/not present.
Phone Active: scan tool displays if the phone is Active/Inactive.
Point of Sale: scan tool displays the country the vehicle was sold in.
Power Mode: scan tool displays the current power mode the module is operating in.
PROM ID: scan tool displays 0-9999. The identification number of the radios internal PROM.
Radio Left Channel: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the amplifier input.
Radio Right Channel: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the amplifier input.
Radio Type: scan tool displays what level radio is currently installed in the vehicle.
Rear Subwoofer: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Rear Subwoofer Coil 1: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Rear Subwoofer Coil 2: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Region Code: scan tool displays the region the radio is set for.
RF Full Range: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
RF Tweeter: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
RF Tweeter - Door: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
RR Full Range: scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the speaker output.
Signal Strength: scan tool displays 0-255 decibels. The strength of the station that the radio is tuned to.
Software Version: scan tool displays the version of software.
Theft Armed: The scan tool displays Learned VIN/No VIN. The Scan tool displays Learned VIN when the theft mode has been turned ON by recognizing a valid VIN.
Tone Generator: scan tool displays ON or OFF. The state of the chime.
Total Cassette Hours: scan tool displays 0-999 hrs. The total number of hours the cassette player has been used.
Total CD Hours: scan tool displays 0-999 hrs. The total number of hours the single CD has been used.
Total ICDX Hours: scan tool displays 0-999 hrs. The total number of hours the CD changer has been used.
Total Radio Hours: scan tool displays 0-999 hrs. The total number of hours the radio has been used.
Treble Control: scan tool displays 0-255 counts. The amount of treble selected.
Ultrasonic Noise: scan tool displays 0-999 counts. RDS data transformation information.
VIN Position 12: scan tool displays the 12th digit of the learned VIN.
VIN Position 13: scan tool displays the 13th digit of the learned VIN.
VIN Position 14: scan tool displays the 14th digit of the learned VIN.
VIN Position 15: scan tool displays the 15th digit of the learned VIN.

Year Module Built: scan tool displays 1990-2020. The production year the module was manufactured.
