Door Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Mark the location of the hinges, upper and lower, on the door with a grease pencil.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
3. Remove the door module.
4. Remove the inside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer toEnergy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement) .
7. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the inner window seal. Refer toWeatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window - Inner (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
9. Remove the door window. Refer toWindow Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
10. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
11. Remove the rear door stationary window. Refer toWindow/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary (Window/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary) .
12. Remove the window regulator. Refer toWindow Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
13. Remove the door frame applique. Refer toDoor Frame Applique Replacement - Rear () .
14. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
15. Remove the front window run channel. Refer toWindow Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front (Window Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front) .
16. Remove the door latch. Refer toLatch Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
17. Remove the outside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Service and Repair) .
18. Remove the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer toWeatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary () .
19. Remove the door check link. Refer toDoor Check Link Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
20. Open the front door.




21. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
22. Remove the wiring harness retainers (1) from the door.
23. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
24. Support the door.
25. With an assistant, remove the hinge to door bolts in order to remove the door.



Installation Procedure

1. With an assistant, install the door to the vehicle.
2. Support the door.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the hinge to door bolts.

Tighten the hinge to door bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

4. Install the door check link. Refer toDoor Check Link Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .




5. Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.
6. Install the door wiring harness retainers (1) to the door.
7. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
8. Install the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer toWeatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary () .
9. Install the door latch. Refer toLatch Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the outside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Rear Outside (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the front window run channel. Refer toWindow Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front (Window Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front) .
12. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
13. Install the door frame applique. Refer toDoor Frame Applique Replacement - Rear () .
14. Install the rear door stationary window. Refer toWindow/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary (Window/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary) .
15. Install the window regulator. Refer toWindow Regulator Replacement - Rear Door Service and Repair
16. Install the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
17. Install the door window. Refer toWindow Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
18. Install the inner window seal. Refer toWeatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window - Inner (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
19. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
20. Install the energy absorber pad. Refer toEnergy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement) .
21. Install the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
22. Install the inside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Rear Inside (Service and Repair)
23. Install the door module.
24. Install the door trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
25. Inspect for proper door adjustment. Refer toDoor Adjustment (Adjustments) .
26. Touch up any paint damage to the rear door hinge, fasteners, and check link with body color paint.
