Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the seat back. Refer toSeat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) .
2. Remove the head restraints. Refer toHead Restraint Replacement - Rear Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Rear Seat) .
3. Remove the armrest. Refer toArmrest Replacement - Rear Seat (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the head restraint retainers. Refer toHead Restraint Retainer Replacement - Rear Seat (Head Restraint Retainer Replacement - Rear Seat) .
5. Remove J channels retaining the seat back cover (1) to the seat frame.
6. Pull the seat back cover (1) and the cushion (2) from the frame.
7. Remove the seat cover from the seat foam pad.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the seat back cover to the foam pad.
2. Position the foam cushion (2) and pad to the seat back frame.
3. Work the cover edges over the foam cushion.
4. Install the J channels to retain the rear seat back cover and foam pad to the seat back frame.
5. Install the armrest. Refer toArmrest Replacement - Rear Seat (Service and Repair) .
6. Use the following procedures if the seat back is equipped with center head restraints:

* Align the head restraint mounting holes with the seat covers.
* Cut holes in the seat back cover in order to install the head restraint retainers

7. Install the head restraint retainers. Refer toHead Restraint Retainer Replacement - Rear Seat (Head Restraint Retainer Replacement - Rear Seat) .
8. Install the seat back. Refer toSeat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear)
9. Install the head restraints. Refer toHead Restraint Replacement - Rear Seat (Head Restraint Replacement - Rear Seat) .
