Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement
Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect the retaining clip from the power steering return hose at the power steering pressure hose.
4. Remove the retaining nut for the power steering return hose at the air conditioning compressor.
5. Disconnect the power steering cooler line from the power steering cooler.
6. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the power steering reservoir.
7. Remove the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering reservoir.
3. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering cooler.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precaution.
4. Install the retaining nut for the power steering cooler pipe/hose at the air conditioning compressor.
^ Tighten the nut to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
5. Connect the retaining clip to the power steering cooler pipe/hose at the power steering pressure hose.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly.
7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
8. Bleed the power steering system.
