Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.





3. Remove the stabilizer shaft links to stabilizer shaft retaining nuts.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.





5. Remove the stabilizer shaft mounting bolts and brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator from the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator to the stabilizer shaft with the slit facing rearward.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precaution.

3. Install the stabilizer shaft brackets and mounting bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.
5. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft retaining nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the tire and wheel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
